Chalet Aspen

The Aspen is a much-loved Chalet model that was brought back due to a high demand from the marketplace. This is one of Chalet’s three current mid-range models that all measure in at just over 17 feet in length. The Aspen features an L-shaped sofa in the rear and a relatively light dry weight of 1,435 lbs. with a cargo carrying capacity of 1,620 lbs.

Unlike the LTW, the Aspen includes all of the same standard features available from the other mid-sized Chalet a-frames. It has a slightly lower dry hitch weight than the Alpine model, but the GVWR is the same, so all three of the mid-sized trailers offered by Chalet are towable by the same basic vehicles.

Chalet Aspen Standard Features and Options

The Aspen offers the same suite of standard features that come with all three mid-sized Chalet a-frames. A notable upgrade over the LTW model is the inclusion of Chalet’s patented manual roof lift system that is designed to make setup easier without the added cost and weight of a powered lift system.

Standard appliances and equipment include a 2.0 cf fridge, two burner cooktop, 16k BTU furnace and a 3-speed fantastic vent fan. An AM/FM stereo with a CD/DVD player also comes standard with the entertainment system, along with a cable TV outlet.

The Aspen also offers nearly all of the same options that you can get with Chalet’s other mid-sized units, aside from additional seating, which is only available in the Arrowhead. Some notable optional equipment that is available includes:

• High sidewall package (38″ sidewalls), including a larger fridge/freezer (3.0 cf versus 2.0 cf)
• Permanent rear bed (52″ x 76″)
• Rear bike rack receiver
• Deluxe window package (with two additional angled/smoked windows)
• 11,500 BTU ducted a/c system
• 6 gallon DSI water heater (includes exterior shower)
• Outdoor speakers
• Solar package (includes 80 watt solar panel)
